Boys & girls ages 9-14 (as of 12/31/08) can compete in the nation’s largest youth track and field program sponsored by the Hershey Corporation, Peoria Park District and the Illinois Park and Recreation Association. Events include the 50, 100, 200 and 400 meter dash, 800 and 1600 meter run, 4x100 meter relay, standing long jump and softball throw. Winners advance to the state meet to compete for a trip to Nationals in Hershey, PA. Registration forms are available at the Glen Oak Park Pavilion. A copy of child’s birth certificate is required. This is a FREE event.
