History: Race To Cure Lymphoma began as another race in a small community outside Springfield, IL. It was known as Race For Brazil and the proceeds funded literacy projects in northeast Brazil. The name changed in 2006 after the race director's daughter, Sarah, was diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer. Sarah made a full recovery and has since returned to college and her normal activities. While 2007 marks our fifth anniversary, it's the beginning of a new tradition in St. Charles. Divisions: This event is open to individuals and families of all ages. While both races are designed with the competive athlete in mind, runners and walkers of all abilities are encouraged to participate. A one mile walk is available for individuals to enjoy the relaxing benefits of recreational exercise. Packet Pick-Up: Offered in advance from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, November 9 at Fleet Feet Sports on 3813 Mexico Road in St. Charles. Otherwise, packets can be picked up before 7:45 A.M. the morning of the race. Support: Thank you for your willingness to make this event a success through your participation and/or generous donation.
